1… 2… 3… PUSH!!!
After having the chickens for a while I found out they don’t like to push on anything… AT ALL! But just a couple weeks ago when I left the gate closed but not latched and went to pick up Omelette and after I put her down I was throwing leaves that they like to her. But the other chickens weren’t coming so I looked to see what they were doing and they pushed the gate open!

TOMATOES!!!
Today I gave the chickens like 13 apple cores and two tomatoes… Rosy I found out had loved tomatoes more than anything. So when she noticed the tomatoes she went and ate both. I would rather apples than tomatoes but whatever…

Hand drinking
The chickens wont drink out of there water tube thing. BUT! Just recently was pushing the nobs and they were starting to copy me and were drinking out of it! But when diggey saw the water on my hand she just walked away not caring but then rosey saw and started drinking out of my hand and then diggey saw and came over hurry and pushed her out of the way and started drinking (it feels weird because their waddles rub against my hand). So now they know that the tube gives water again and that they like to drink out of my hands. It is very cute when they do it too.

Okay, so. Eggward doesn’t like to get pet or even touched. So, when you pet her she squats down as far as she can and walk away from you. And if you keep doing it then she will turn, stop, ect. You can do it to omolette too but she go’s a lot faster and it is hard to keep up. So I like to do it with Eggward……….. THE BULLIE!
Some More Fun Facts About My Chickens
I have had a lot of fun with my chickens in the last year. they are very fun and “funny”. Tico, our fattest chicken can’t jump. She lifts one leg thinking that she jumps, she also can’t run, she is always the last one to get to the other side of the yard. Eggward has a very floppy giant comb. She is a small chicken though, the smallest out of them all. when we put the fence up for them they figured out they can stick their head through the holes of it and eat the grass… because they don’t have any left on their side. Legolas likes to cuddle with people. everyone else hates cuddles. Diggy, she is very big, tall and strong. She likes to get what she wants all the time otherwise she gets stressed out and flaps her wings every where and jumps all over the place.
Ticos big incident!
One day we had some extra strawberry tops for the chickens so I went and threw them in one by one, all of the chickens came running over… Except for Tico. She was afraid of the strawberries and would not come over. So, I went over to her. She didn’t freak out. So I gave her one. And, it just so happened that it landed on her back. That was when she started freaking out. She was squawking her head off running away from her back. That is when I started laughing my head off! I went and got my boots and put them on, but by then diggy had taken it off her back like a good friend.

One day I was at home doing school hen Mom came in and said you have to finish school if you want a prize! (I am home schooled so she is my teacher, we also have been building a coop to get chickens so we have been waiting) I came running over to my sister saying that we would get a prize and we were wondering what it was. (we didn’t think it would be chicks) Eventually dad came home with a box. Dad told us to come over and listen to the box, and we heard chicks!!! We were very excited and we put them in the bathtub for them to stay until the coop is done.
