This is the door of the run OPEN. Every coop should have a run and a coop. The coop is where the chickens should sleep and it should be above the run because chickens like to be up high when they sleep. 😉 The run is where the chickens should be in the day and it should be longer than the coop so they feel like they have more space there and so they will think that is where they should be in the morning. (if you don’t let them out into the yard in the morning. :))

This is the mesh that you should use for your coop otherwise your chickens will be killed by raccoons.

 

 

You should have nesting boxes with good wood chips so it is comfortable for the hens. The most you should have is 2 like in the picture because they like to have the same one as the other chickens.

 

 

 

 

 Behind this door is where the chickens sleep. You should have a door there for cleaning out the poop.

 This is behind the door. As you can see there is a camera in one of the pictures and you can see the live video on this website and on www.thewilson5.ca. You don’t need cameras but we have them for fun.

 

We have these on all of our doors so they don’t swing open and so big animals can’t get it open.
